Spyderco Tasman Salt 2 (C106) H-1 Hawkbill Folder …

The Tasman Salt 2 has a rustproof Hawkbill blade made with state of the art non-rusting H-1 steel. This distinctive curved cutting tool has a claw-like tip that originated in the marine/commercial fishing industry. Cutting in and around water involves cutting line, netting and rope and it’s done quickly, often at arm’s length while pulling downward or toward you. The blade’s arcing tip holds what you’re cutting against the sharpened edge keeping it from slipping off the tip. The fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle is textured with a Volcano Grip pattern. The Tasman is equipped with a fully ambedrexious pocket clip (also non-rusting) that positions the folder tip-up in the pocket. Add a thong or cord through the lanyard hole for back-up retention around water.

Spyderco Inc.

Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. In 1981, the Glessers put down roots in Golden, Colorado and introduced the first Spyderco folding knife. That knife pioneered the concept of a round hole in the blade for one-handed opening, a clip on the handle for carry at the top of the pocket, and the option of a serrated edge for aggressive cutting performance. Since then, Spyderco has steadily grown to become one of the leaders in the cutlery industry. In addition to a worldwide distribution network and manufacturing resources in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and China.
