Vince Evans was living in Hawaii for years, then moved to Arizona, and is now back on the big island in Hawaii. He forges 5160 and his own damascus. Vince is an excellent maker and his specialties include exotic knives and swords including Scottish, Turkish, Persian and Chinese. Vince’s folders are also very impressive.

Vince Evans was born and raised in Hawaii in an artist family. His mother was a portrait artist and his father an ornamental blacksmith and metal sculptor. Growing up around his father’s shop exposed him to metalworking at an early age. He started doing restoration work on antique swords in 1980 and became a full time bladesmith with his first knife sold in 1983. Vince and Grace have returned to Keaau, HI after living stateside.
