Spyderco Dog Tag (C188) Carbon Fiber Folder …
The Dog Tag Folder is a unique departure from typical folding knife construction methods. Its single-sided handle replicates the size and shape of a military dog tag. Features a handle machined from a solid piece of black carbon fiber/G-10 laminate with an inlaid detent spring arm. The blade and all metal hardware have a matching black titanium carbonitride coating. Theœbusiness end of the Dog Tag is a sheepfoot-style blade made from premium CPM® S30V® particle metallurgy stainless steel. A non-locking folder, the Dog Tag’s blade is held in place in the open position by a detent mechanism. A ball bearing in the handle scale’s integral spring arm indexes holes in the tang of the blade to hold it both closed and open.

Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. In 1981, the Glessers put down roots in Golden, Colorado and introduced the first Spyderco folding knife. That knife pioneered the concept of a round hole in the blade for one-handed opening, a clip on the handle for carry at the top of the pocket, and the option of a serrated edge for aggressive cutting performance. Since then, Spyderco has steadily grown to become one of the leaders in the cutlery industry. In addition to a worldwide distribution network and manufacturing resources in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and China.
