Brandsey, Ed - Janesville, WI

Ed Brandsey started making knives as a hobby in 1968. He started selling them in 1973 and joined the Knifemakers Guild in 1985. He uses the stock removal method. Steels used are very often O-1, ATS-34, 440-C and some Damascus. All stainless blades are heat treated by Paul Bros. and rest by Ed. Ed is known for his hunting knives, bowies, period pieces and art pieces. He does all his own leatherwork, beadwork, scrimshaw, leather burning and some lapidary work. Much of his work has a Native American influence.
